Papuga Transportation, Inc. is a family owned and operated,
door-to-door, non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) service based out of White Lake, MI, predominantly operating within
Oakland County. In need of NEMT because of a workplace
injury, owner and founder, Kevin Papuga was able to see, first-hand, the need for a caring, punctual, and affordable transportation
service for those going to medical appointments in our local community.
After a full recovery following almost two years of weekly appointments, in 2007, Papuga Transportation was founded. Equipped with rear-entry manual ramps, our fleet
of caravans are capable to transport individuals needing
wheelchair-bound transportation, as well as those who can
ambulate on their own.

Front and rear facing dash cameras – Papuga Transportation utilizes dash cameras, located on the windshields,
that face both out towards the road and into the vehicle. By implementing these cameras, we firmly believe to
have ensured both our customers, and our employees,
safety.MediRoutes scheduling/dispatching application – This application stores all client information including location and destinations, appointment information,
emergency contact information, etc., to ensure that each client is dropped off at the correct location, in a timely manner.
GPS systems on all vans – Papuga Transportation uses brickhouse security to run GPS on our vans 24/7 to ensure safety, reliability, and an overall satisfied customer
experience.Wheelchair equipped vans - All vans in our fleet are equipped with a wheelchair designated for clientele use. These chairs are intended for discharges (one-ways) but can be set up to use round-trip if approved by our office staff beforehand.
CPR certified drivers – although we are Non-Emergency and it is not required, we have elected to train and certify all drivers in CPR/AED as clientele safety and peace of mind is our number one concern.

Please note, all requests, whether submitted by phone, email, or online, must be confirmed by a Papuga Transportation Inc. employee.
**Cancellations made within 24 hours will result in a $50 cancellation fee; cancellations made before this time will not result in a charge**
Fee Information
We accept workman’s comp claims and auto/
catastrophic claims under the Michigan no-fault law. Use
our contact form to email your claim specifics.
We do not accept Medicare/
Medicaid.

Our service area, defined in the map, is used as a broad outline, and is not meant to be perceived as a border. We are willing to go
outside of these outlined areas, however the cost is subject to out of service area fee’s such as wait time and dead mileage.
